Miley Cyrus poses for a photo with Paul Promen, 18, of Simi Valley on Friday at South Coast Plaza. Back in the summer when he'd been a patient at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles his family had tried to arrange a visit from Cyrus to lift his spirits, but it never worked out. So on Friday, they tricked him into thinking he was meeting a favorfite nurse after dinner at South Coast Plaza, which was how he happened to be holding a single pink rose when he ran into Miley -- her not-so-Christmas-y AC/DC T-shirt -- outside the Rainforest Cafe. He was, as you can imagine, stunned.
